Sam 3 is definitely one of my favorite artists; his work continually amazes me.  Here is a recent piece, but please check out his website for more work.

Nick Cave Soundsuits

I’m back on.  One post a week is my goal.

These videos documenting Nick Cave’s artwork are amazing.  I desperately wish I could see the costumes in person.  They are stunning. . . enough said, watch the videos.

I’ve seen a bunch of other photos Tunick has done – this one is most impressive.

Check out the video showing the participants getting ready for the shots and the artist talking about his vision.

Alright, here we go

My internet inspiration has been murky, recently.  BUT, behold two links of good, quality artistic excitement and wonder.

First we have an “alternate” video of kanye west’s song “stronger” featuring will oldham and zach galifianakis (a comedian, I am told).  I can’t really tell you why I find this video so amusing.

Second, on a more serious note, we have kinetic sculptures powered by the wind.  I would love to see these in person (Burning man would be the perfect venue for such art. . . )

Hope I will be a better blogger and update my site more often!

Show at Epic Arts this Friday

This Friday, Jenn Harper and Sarah Elena Palmer will be performing at Epic Arts in Berkeley.  I will be displaying some of my art at this show.  These two women are talented musicians – it should be great!  For those of you with babes – it is an all ages show and there will surely be some kids enjoying the music and scenery, too.  See the flyer below for details.

Germart debuts at APE

Two weeks ago, Germart (founded by Ryan and Nathan Germick) showed some of their stuff at the Alternative Press Expo in SF. They featured a great little comic by Ryan, a sweet new album by Nate, and more cool art/comics by Esy Casey. Check out their sites, if you get a chance.
